The teaser trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire the new chapter in the Ghostbusters film saga, opens to the tune of Cruel Summer by Bananarama. And the summer told in this film, in fact, will not only be cruel but also decidedly terrifying.

The new film arrives after the revival Ghostbusters: Legacy which, released in 2021, resumed the lines of the two original films released in the 1980s: there, Callie, the daughter of the late Egon Spengler, discovers his past as a hunter of paranormal phenomena in the old her father's house, helped above all by her children Trevor and Phoebe and by the strange professor Gary Grooberson.

The fight against an ancient demon was an opportunity to reconnect with their father's old colleagues, Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Winston Zeddemore.

As seen in this first teaser trailer for the new film, a mysterious threat transforms fear itself into a blanket of ice that paralyzes New York and freezes people to death.

Precisely to counter this mysterious phenomenon, three generations of Ghostbusters team up, ready to challenge their own skepticism to save the Big Apple.

Alongside the veterans and new followers, there are also new characters played by actors of the caliber of Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt.

The film is directed by Gil Kenan, former director of Monster House and Poltergeist in 2015 and who, among other things, was also co-writer of the previous Ghostbusters: Legacy.

The one who was director of that film, Jason Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman who had been the director of the original saga, as well as other cult films such as The Twins, Junior and Friends, Lovers and This Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will debut in theaters starting from March 2024.
