The trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has unleashed the craze among Marvel fans and has broken the record for global views in 24 hours with more than 355.5 million views, a new record that surpasses Avengers: Endgame with its 289 million views. This success has caused many fans to make their own edits and modifications. One of the best jobs has been that of a fan who has recreated the original trailer using scenes from the classic 90s animated series.
The animated version of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer made by 100Bombs Studios (via ComicBook) has gone viral on YouTube. The title set by the author is "Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer (90s Cartoon Style)" and it has already accumulated more than 450,000 views since it was released on August 25. The same channel is responsible for other recreations that have gone viral with the trailers of Avengers: Endgame and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
The video uses footage from Spider-Man's third season episode: "Sins of the Fathers, Chapter I: Doctor Strange," in which Spider-Man teams up with Strange to help rescue Mary Jane, to the brainwashed by the sect leader, Baron Mordo, and his master Dormammu.
As for the original trailer, it has a huge amount of detail. We see Doctor Strange living his life after the events of Endgame and how the revelation of Spider-Man's identity is causing damage to the life of Peter Parker and all the people around him. Peter no longer has the protection of his teacher: Tony Stark, Iron Man.
We also see Willem Dafoe's signature Green Goblin grenade and the appearance of Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus. Finally, fans believed to identify in the trailer the possible presence of Sandman by Thomas Haden Church, Lizard by Rhys Ifans, and Daredevil by Charlie Cox. Spider-Man: No Way Home opens on December 17, 2021.
