We do not know exactly where "Thor 3" and "Thor 4" director Taika Waititi takes the time for all his projects. But it looks like he will join the DC sequel "The Suicide Squad". Good news!
"Guardians Of The Galaxy" director James Gunn directs, starring, among others, Idris Elba (from the "Thor" films) and David Dastmalchian (from the "Ant-Man" films) as well as Nathan Fillion (the one with all Gunn Staging films) - the Marvel impact will be clearly visible on the DC sequel "Suicide Squad 2". Now, the industry magazine Deadline reports exclusively that Taika Waititi will also be in the game, should the negotiations go well.
Taika Waititi is a New Zealand director, actor, and comedian who has made a name for himself with Disney and many fans with his funny "Thor: Ragnarok" - and there is also as a chubby stone type Korg to hear. In 2021, Waititi will release the best-selling Marvel sequel, "Thor 4: Love And Thunder," as well as shooting a sequel to the new "Star Wars" series for Disney +, "The Mandalorian" (where he starred a killer droid speaks), and on January 23, 2020, his Hitler satire "Jojo Rabbit" (where he plays an imaginary Hitler) starts.
TAIKA IS ALWAYS GOOD
Oh well, another new directorial work has Waititi also in the making, "Next Goal Wins". And now probably also a role in "Suicide Squad 2". It's still not clear which character Waititi would take on in "Suicide Squad 2", but that's also a hump. Because the man has yet refined each part. We can well imagine that again "only" will be heard, also because he would not have to go to the set and work would, therefore, be better coordinated with his other commitments.
"Suicide Squad 2" still has no India launch date. What is exactly, is unknown, but the calculus of Warner should be clear: "The Suicide Squad," as the film is officially titled, should be like the first movie - a rogue team with u.a. Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn goes on a suicide mission - only much better.
